Mountain Valley Submits Application to Extend Pipeline to North Carolina

The Mountain Valley Pipeline developers have submitted an application to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to seek approval for a 73-mile extension of the pipeline into North Carolina. The new extension to the pipeline called MVP Southgate will begin in Pittsylvania County, Virginia and end in Alamance County, North Carolina. The proposed pipeline extension includes a compressor station in Pittsylvania County. The pipeline will provide natural gas to local distribution company PSNC Energy.
