LAURA C. HOEY – LITIGATION ASSOCIATE WITH K&C EMINENT DOMAIN PRACTICE GROUP

Laura is an associate in the firm’s Newport News office and a member of the Litigation and Eminent Domain Practice Groups.  Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts from American University and her Juris Doctorate from William & Mary.  Following law school, Laura clerked for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, where she worked on numerous large scale civil cases.  Laura has represented individuals and businesses throughout Virginia in a range of condemnation matters.

  • Represented shopping centers, retailers, and restaurants in eminent domain cases filed by VDOT
  • Represented the owners of special use properties in complex eminent domain cases
  • Represented residential property owners in eminent domain actions filed by VDOT, localities, and utility providers
